Julia
Nanny-Pro at Your Convenience Program Director
I first started working as a nanny in 2015 while at college in Seattle. I loved the opportunity to get to know another family and form a lasting relationship with them throughout the years. After graduating, I began my professional journey working at a startup in San Francisco, while continuing to nanny on the weekends. In 2021, joined the TIFFAN team to begin developing our online learning program "Nanny Pro At Your Convenience". My experience as a nanny drives my desire to advocate for those in the industry and provide resources and support through our programs at TIFFAN. Our team is an incredible group of women who have extensive work history in the field and share the common interested of standardizing the industry.

Betty
Board Treasurer
Betty is a retired, early intervention speech pathologist with Southfield Public Schools in Michigan. She provided speech therapy to 12-36 month old children with language delays and suspected autism. She formed strong relationships with the parents and their language-delayed child in their home, one to two hours a week to ensure that families had the tools, support, education, and training they needed for their toddler to reach their full potential. Betty was inspired to seek a certification in autism to support her work with a growing caseload of preschoolers with autism.
Prior to returning to her passion for preschool special education, Betty managed large client accounts as a marketing representative for IBM for over 20 years. She has a Masters Degree in business administration from the University of Michigan.
Betty was intrigued when she first learned of TIFFAN and is thrilled with the opportunity to support and grow its initiatives. She also has had a desire to seek out and apply for grants. It is her goal to use her background in business, early childhood development and parent support to be awarded grant dollars to support TIFFAN’s programming.

Alyce
LCSW, Board Chair
My journey into the world of families and nannies began in 1996. A friend, on bedrest with a high-risk pregnancy asked me to help her find a nanny to care for her toddler. Along the way, I’ve worked with hundreds of families, thousands of nannies and published 3 books on the subject. Twenty years later I founded The Institute for Families and Nannies. Along with a dedicated, passionate group of nannies and early childhood educators, we developed a series of job trainings, education and support.
